■ High-quality raw materials
The aronia we use is carefully cultivated in the rich soil and clean air of Date City, Hokkaido.
Aronia, adapted to cold climates, is known for being rich in nutrients such as polyphenols and anthocyanins, and is a plant that grows by absorbing plenty of natural energy.
At Shizento, we use aronia grown in this natural environment to create products that bring out the inherent goodness of the material.
■ Carefully selected aronia from Hokkaido
We use only carefully selected, fresh aronia berries grown in Date City, Hokkaido.
We use only fruits grown by trusted farmers, with production histories recorded and managed.
We are very particular about the timing of the harvest, and we carefully pick only fully ripened fruit.
When aronia berries are fully ripe, they turn black, develop a white powdery coating on their surface, and naturally detach from the stem.
Furthermore, we harvest the fruit with a Brix level of 13% or higher, and only use high-quality fruit.
■ Reliable standards to protect quality
After harvesting, the aronia berries are hand-picked one by one before proceeding to the sorting process.
Using specialized sorting machines, we sort the products while checking their size and shape, and then experienced workers conduct thorough visual inspections to check for color, scratches, deformation, and other external defects.
In this way, only high-quality raw materials are used in the product after undergoing a rigorous selection process involving both machines and human eyes.
